We never thought that this coldbrew matcha would be so delicious and addicting! It was June last year when we received a batch of ceremonial-grade matcha samples from Japan, and it was a ludicrous 90 degrees in Atlanta. We had recently moved from the North to live in Georgia, the state of southern sweet iced tea and home of Coca Cola. Since we don't have much of a sweet tooth--and in bikini season, you're trying to watch your sugar intake!--we jumped into making cold brew teas as a refreshing alternative. After countless trial and errors, we brewed the perfect cup of cold brew matcha that lasted us through the hot months. We hardly reached for a glass of sweet tea or coke, and our waistlines thanked us for it.
Add matcha powder in an empty tumbler. Pour half of the water. Shake the tumbler vigorously until you don’t see any lump at the bottom of the tumbler!
You will see all the bubbles are forming as you shake, and are fizzing up to the top of the tumbler. Done.
Pour your cold brew matcha in an ice filled glass. Quench your thirst.
