Move over, pumpkin spice latte! Our hojicha persimmon latte brings all the flavors of the season with a twist - the smoky, acacia flavor of hojicha and the tart sweetness of persimmons. Persimmons are high in vitamins A, C and B, potassium, manganese, and fiber, but low in calories, making this a guilt-free way to treat yourself this winter!
What you need: 1 cup of milk, 1/2 tsp of hojicha powder, roasted persimmons, and milk frother for more foam
How to: In a small pot, pour milk and hojicha powder. Puree roasted persimmons in a food processor before adding to mix. Boil together at medium heat, stirring continuously until milk begins to bubble, then turn off heat. (Tip: you can make more foam with a milk frother.)
Slightly push the froth to the side with a spoon, then pour the latte in a cup. Top with froth and serve!
